THE INTERNATIONAL ENGINEERING FAIR 2021
The International Engineering Fair, one of the most important industrial fairs in Central Europe, was held at the Brno Exhibition Centre from 8 to 12 November 2021. Visitors from the professional public were able to meet us as part of the project Packaging live. Live demonstrations of robotics and technologies for the packaging, labelling, handling and palletising of products were shown in Hall A2. Commented tours took place several times a day.
The main topic this year was the digitalisation of production as one of the main directions of the innovation process and also the topic of circular economy. The rich accompanying programme also included the Assembly of the Industrial Association of the Czech Republic, the international Contact-Contract project and a number of professional conferences and lectures. One of the points of the accompanying programme was the live presentation of technologies in practice PACKAGING LIVE, of which we became a partner this year.
Within this exhibition, the presentation of the automatically controlled packaging line was on the agenda for the entire duration of the trade fair, supplemented by expert commentaries at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively. This year, trade fair participants were able to learn about robotic palletising, labelling, packaging, handling and product identification.
Robotic palletising and handling is one of the most frequently requested applications. At the fair, we presented a simple solution for palletising cartons using a six-axis robot FANUC M20iD/35, equipped with a KENOS multi-purpose foam suction cup, on loan from TECH - CON.
The main advantage of this solution is the flexibility in handling products of different shapes and sizes. The multi-purpose vacuum cleaner is particularly suitable for handling large quantities of dimensions. Its great advantage is that it can not only hold a wide range of objects, but also pallets and uneven surfaces such as dented doors, cans, KLT, washed tiles, glass, bricks and much more. It is manufactured in different lengths and widths according to customer requirements.
In the field of robot palletizing, our company offers both standardized solutions that are suitable for small spaces and customer-specific solutions. The initial consultation and processing of the functional visualisation of the technical solution is a matter of course.
Our colleague Josef Duben, Sales Manager, responds to questions about our offer with the addition: "We all notice that the biggest trend today is the lack of unskilled labour, for example in the warehouses. We focus heavily on warehousing, especially in the food industry, where the labour requirements are quite high. The work is hard and the working environment is often not pleasant, for example in cold stores. That's not the only reason we're replacing the missing workforce with robotics."
