BRANCH HISTORY

The ZPA group company was established in 1952 as a successor to the Křižík company (Siemens until 1945), providing industrial automation services and products for all industry sectors in former Czechoslovakia. The company had tens of thousands of employees working in various plants.

The manufacturing plants produced measuring and control technology, switchboards, servomotors, sensors, and other products. ZPA ensured design, basic engineering, installations, commissioning, and other industrial automation activities in the Czech Republic and abroad. The company always followed automation trends, whether by deploying the first digital system in 1968 or developing its own digital system in the early 1970s. 

During the construction of the Dukovany nuclear power plant in 1984, ZPA merged with EZ, which provided turnkey deliveries for all electrical systems (from LV to HV, including main distribution networks up to 400kV) into the Elektromont group. 

ZPA-DP a.s. was founded in 1990 by a group of former Elektromont employees as a private joint-stock company, continuing the tradition of a company that was always a term in industrial automation. In 2002, ZPA-DP a.s. transformed into ZPA Industry, a.s. 

The transformation process was completed in 2010 with a domestic merger with the original company. In 2011, the ownership changed to Unicontrols, a.s., and the revenue volume nearly doubled from 2011 to 2020.

The year 2020 was a year of transformation for ZPA Industry. At the beginning of the year, B:TECH initiated the acquisition of the ZPA Industry plant, marking the start of our shared story. By 1.8.2020, the approximately half-year takeover process of our company was completed.

We had been preparing for this change for a long time, and close cooperation between the two companies had been ongoing since the beginning of 2020. In 2022, full integration was achieved, and the Karlovy Vary branch now operates under the B:TECH brand. 

OUR SOLUTIONS

We implement projects and tailor-made solutions in various industry segments across Europe and the Middle East. These solutions include comprehensive engineering, including the preparation of implementation project documentation, supply assurance, complete installations, provision of accompanying technical documentation, as-built documentation, and operator and maintenance staff training. 

Within these comprehensive solutions, we offer customers the preparation of tender documentation for contractor selection, feasibility studies, operational safety and reliability studies (HAZOP), project documentation, manufacturing documentation for in-house production and assembly, engineering and project management, supply of individual equipment and packaged units, complete installations, application software and visualization, commissioning, provision of accompanying technical documentation, operator and maintenance staff training, warranty and post-warranty service including technical support.

ENERGY

In this field, ZPA Industry offers comprehensive deliveries and services for HV and LV electrical systems, measurement and control, and technological process control systems (control system and visualization).

We implement projects in conventional thermal power plants, as well as nuclear and hydroelectric power plants, heating plants, waste incinerators in areas of boiler and turbine control, DeNOx and DeSOx technologies, coal handling, ash removal, water treatment, and other auxiliary operations.

CHEMISTRY AND PETROCHEMISTRY

In this market segment, we focus on technological operations with high environmental policy requirements. We focus on the production of low-molecular resins, epichlorohydrin, washable and tough polystyrene, and rubber production.

We provide comprehensive deliveries and services for LV and HV electrical systems, field instrumentation, control systems including application software and visualization. We also offer electrical fire systems and within field instrumentation, design instruments for gas leak detection and devices for explosive environments.

ECOLOGY

In the field of renewable resources, we focus on the design and implementation of modernly conceived and fully automated technological processes that guarantee achieving all required parameters with minimal investment and operational demands while considering the environment.

In this category, we process system solutions for photovoltaic power plants, wind farms, wastewater treatment plants, reverse osmosis, biogas plants, and power output.
