HISTORY OF THE BRANCH

ZPA concern was founded in 1952 as a successor of Křížík company (known as Siemens until 1945) offering services and products for industrial automation and has found clients in all branches of the industry in the former Czechoslovakia. The company has had thousands of employees who worked in individual sectors across the country. Our company has been producing measurement and control technology, switchgear, motors, sensors and other products. The ZPA has secured design, basic engineering, installation, commission and other activities of industrial automation in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. Our company has always aimed to follow the trends of automation, whether it was the first setting of the digital system in Czechoslovakia in 1968 or the development of our own digital system in the early seventies.

During the construction of the nuclear power station Dukovany in 1984, the company was merged with the company ZPA EZ, which ensured projects for all kind of electrical systems (NN-VN, including the main pipelines to 400kV), into the Group Elektromont.

ZPA-DP a.s. was founded in 1990 by a group of former employees of Elektomont as a private join-stock company. They have followed the tradition the Elektromont, which was profoundly know in the field of industrial automation. In 2002 the ZPA-DP a.s. transformed into ZPA Industry Inc. 

The transformation process was completed in 2010, by internal merge with the original company. In September 2011, the company UniControls Inc. completed the acquisition of majority shareholding. The mentioned changes in ownership supported the expansion and improvement of our customer service as well as maintaining long-term relationships with suppliers. In period  2011 - 2020 the turnover has been doubled.

The year 2020 is the year of transformation for us. On August 1, 2020, B:TECH purchased the plant from ZPA Industry, thus completing the approximately six-month process of acquiring the company. We have started to write our common story. 

Together we created one of the largest automation teams in Czech republic with 180 specialists in locations Prag, Brno, Havlíčkův Brod and Karlovy Vary. Full integration took place in 2022, and the Karlovy Vary branch has been operating under the B:TECH brand since 2022.

OUR SOLUTION

Our company implements projects and provides customized solutions in various industry segments across Europe but also in the Middle East. These solutions include complete engineering along with preparation of the project documentation, supplying, complete installation, providing accessory project documentation, documentation of actual execution and training the operators and maintenance workers.

By providing these integrated solutions, we are able to offer preparation of procurement documentation for selecting the contractor, feasibillity studies, hazard and operability study (HAZOP), preparation of project documentation, preparation of documentation for the production and assembly, engineering and project-managment, supplies of equipment and package units, complete installation, software application and its visualization, commissioning, ensuring the concomitant technical documentation,training of the operators and maintenance workers, customer service, including technical support.

ENERGY INDUSTRY

In this sector, ZPA Industy Inc. offers complex services for HV and LV systems, measurement and regulation, technological processes control (control system and visualization). Projects are realized both in thermal power plants as well as nuclear and hydropower plants, heating plants and waste incinerators, providing services of boilers and turbines managment, DeNOx and DeSOX technology, coal handling, ash removal, chemical water treatment and other subsidiary operations.

CHEMICAL AND PETROCHEMICAL INDUSTRY

In this segment, we focus on technological processes with high demands on environmental policy. We offer low molecular weight resins production, epichlorohydrin production, manufacturing washable and resistant polystyrene and caoutchouc manufacturing. We provide complex solutions and services for electrical LV and HV systems, field instrumentation, control systems including application software and visualization. We also offer electrical and fire alarm systems within the design of field instrumentation of devices for detecting gas leaks and devices fit for in potentially explosive surrounding.

In the field of renewable, the company focuses on design and implementation of modern and fully automated technological processes that guarantee the meet the criteria of all required parameters, with minimal investment and operational demands with regard to the environment. In this area, we offer system solutions for photovoltaic power plants, wind farms, Wastewater treatment plants, reverse osmosis plants, biogas plants and power output.
